Started Silo, 2 episodes in. Questions raised: Nonconformity: why do some people question the way things are and why do most accept it? Is nonconformity innate or can it be taught? What causes would you risk your life for? Truth?

I was raised by strict Mormons. Started questioning at 8yo. Decidedly didn’t believe by 9. Parents tried to teach me otherwise without success and I paid for it But as I’ve gotten older, I see where I’ve been susceptible and conformed to other ideologies I attribute these to my neurodivergence and my humanness

They don’t appreciate skeptics. Obedience is the only way most people can survive it. It sucked but it made me question everything and so I’m ultimately grateful
