I truly believe everyone does, most people just drown that inner yearning with anxiety, alcohol, and meaningless distraction. It’s not weird that on average everyone is nicer and clearly more satisfied with life, even while being human and certainly having daily problems. Big cities are mostly spiritual poison, though individuals with intention can certainly find peace within the craziest of cities I’m a fan of letter 7 from Seneca on this

I agree with everything you said on a personal level. I'm always confused why ppl want to live in cities, besides just the supposed safety and security it provides those who don't have the experience to know how to be self sufficient. To me, it's a fear motivation, not a fulfillment one. But the devil's advocate in me knows that everyone's perspective is different.
