Great write-up! I share the struggle of where to start with the topic. I have my own draft going that's already evolving into multiple blogs... It's hard to just get started on such an abstract topic. Love the two pronged approach (and cypherpunk callback): 1. Individuals need privacy; the ability to choose what to reveal, how, and to whom. 2. Entities and individuals need proof of relevant reputation when engaging digitally. These are both things available IRL in some degree (arguably in many cases) that must be replicated (and improved on) digitally. #1 is frustrating how few "identity" projects are facing this issue. #2 is really tricky. How to determine relevant reputation? Trusted data is key, and spoiler alert: it probably requires privacy with ZK or FHE type security built in.

Thanks. Version 2 will come out this weekend. Would love to hear more what you are thinking about it. I feel #1 is only be taken seriously by a public goods project. Everything else is tapping into these two benefits to link identifiers and sell them. Imagine facing the choice to sell or rent access to your identifiers (eg discord and twitter usernames) to buy food or stay hungry. That being said, everyone currently says the tokenomics behind selling/renting data is bad 🤷♀️
