Biggest unsung TV trope ever is empty paper coffee cups. Basically every single movie or TV show now has a scene with someone faking drinking out of a paper coffee cup with one of those plastic lids on it. It's painfully obvious that it's empty. Sometimes the mic even picks up the hollow sounds echoing inside it while ppl handle it or set it down. Like, you can't just put some water in it so that the scene isn't a total uncanny valley? No, because it's become a trope.
