1Password vs iCloud (with and without ADP)... preference? I assume iCloud is more convenient but is 1pass actually more secure?

1Password vault still needs to be held somewhere, be it iCloud or Dropbox (unless that's changed) you'd need a password to get into it, and I suppose your apple account password is like that analogous to the Passwords app. lose your recovery sheet of 1Password, you're done if you forget your password lose your recovery of iCloud, you're also done but this is far less likely and easier recoverable (set a recovery contact and/or print your recovery sheet and store it like you would a seedphrase - hopefully safely!) long cast to say they're basically the same lol, but Passwords is definitely more convenient and integrated.

agilebits has run their own storage and sync service for some time now 1p is the better choice for that other reasons
