You're probably referring to the suggested files on the Drive homepage. Drive aims to surface the files you're most likely to need, based on your activity. However, too many suggestions can be overwhelming and make it harder to find what you're looking for. Plus, suggestions beyond the top 10 are less likely to be relevant. That's why Drive limis the initial display to 10, but you can still access more if needed.
