As I pulled into the gas station today, I was imagining all the hate on cars at the time: “where will we put the fuel they need to run on?! There are very few roads — where will people drive? People have everything they need right here in town — why would they need to go anywhere on their own?!”

For sure. The same is true in every conversation I have about nuclear, if not from outright opposition, from innocent ignorance. 

“We can’t use nuclear power, what about the danger/waste/etc?”

“Those are important to account for. Imagine that we’ve made it so safe you don’t even think about it. You in?”

Some of these points are still on the minds of those who want to kill the industry due to their personal beliefs and preferences they project on the world, demanding everyone adjusts accordingly.
