Do you hate tariffs or do you hate Trump? I dont care about either of them but if i was American, i’d be happy if other countries paid more to sell their stuff on my soil, to my people. Of course the consequences may be bad so it’s ok to be contrary, but still.. they could also be good.. nobody knows that🤷🏼‍♂️

So hers my question: If the better outcome long term is to produce at home, why didn’t businesses choose that route when given the chance? seems to fly in the face of freedoms of choice

Tariffs are paid by importers.

As an American I am pissed that I will be paying more for imported goods, and ultimately paying more for domestic products as our capitalist population will raise their product prices right along with the imports. Lose lose. Imports, more expensive. Domestic products, more expensive. Mean income, stays the same. Do the frickin’ math.

Trump more than tariffs, because I think they can be a good tool if used wisely. I don't think he is using them wisely, but escalating a trade war that benefits countries that haven't historically been interested in human rights, democracy and the common good. It's not always about the music, it's also the way it's played.

Tariffs can have mixed outcomes, and it’s all about balancing the pros and cons.

I understand stand the idea of wanting people to buy American made goods or tariffs on imports. But it seems like the changes are to drastic and happening all at once. And without a lot of wage increases. I think it will probably force people to buy less and pay more. Maybe some folks will cut down on unnecessary purchases, but you can only trim so much 🤷‍♂️
