thesis stands: we need proxy & ham (1/x) these are the only 2 things on fc that have generated new daus since frames1 & degen tipping back in feb and despite what some of you think, this is the ONLY THING that matters; no one cares about the tech; the journos churn, the academics churn, ct churns, artists churn… none of it matters if no one is here now for the first time since feb, daus *appear* to have broken trend; time will tell if the fc team cares enough to capitalize you would think with hostility increasing on x, a ban on launchpad tech & overall user dissatisfaction, acquiring these users would be top priority instead we offer them $5 for a good cast plus a $3 sign-up fee… they’re collecting $1600 a month on x on fc, we have one of the most interesting things happening in crypto rn: a zk forum, built by top builders, with interest from vitalk & legitimate potential to influence on the world but no one cares because no one is here

A counterpoint/thought: People came when there was free money, not because the network/features were interesting. So in a sense, it's just short-term money grab. A counter to my counter is that that's how crypto seems to work. Each bull run and collapse, 5-10% of people retain and build for then next run. A counter to my counter's counter: I'm here to make money. I've never enjoyed social media... I'm a gamer. I game for 10 hours a day instead of doomscrolling. I see a ton of potential here and I'm one of those 5-10% who sees the potential here. I do think the team is doing a ton of sharing about what's being built here. So it might not be fair to say they're not. Most of Dan's posts these days are about clankers/tokens/frames. Personally, I'd love to see more Solana here. Solana resonates with the younger/trendier crowds and if there was a community here pushing sol with the cool tech, we could bring them over.

Is there any cool tech on Solana to push tho? Genuinely asking as i never fuck with solana I think the younger/hypier gen just wants the money/casino and thats why they’re over there, but maybe im wrong, i know almost nothing about sol I like your points and counter points btw.. imagine when web3 gaming will actually be a thing.. you’ll be able to earn by playing your 10 hours a day and forgot about social media which you hate (i understand you🫶)

> Is there any cool tech on Solana to push tho? not that I can find atm because I'm not a dev :( There's a ton of memecoin stuff, which is the only thing that gets mass attention here anyways. @bogusbob is a token launcher on Solana. > younger gen just wants casino I think there's an element of truth, but my take on Solana is that it's 10x easier to onboard to than ETH. So when BTC gets mainstream attention, the flow from BTC to SOL is much smoother (for example, you don't need to explain L2s).
