Probably one of the most comprehensive books on early Computer Art, I highly recommend picking it up. 'Coded: Art Enters the Computer Age, 1952–1982 explores how the rise of computer technology, together with its emergence in popular consciousness, impacted the making of art in the age of the mainframe."

Love the spread on Harold Cohen. Here is a link to the exhibition at LACMA. https://www.lacma.org/art/exhibition/coded-art-enters-computer-age-1952-1982 You can pickup the book from their store, though I might be more affordable elsewhere. https://www.thelacmastore.org/products/coded
