Just as being pro free speech means supporting speech acts you might not like or believe in, being pro innovation means supporting research and development in areas you might not like or believe in.

Nice try but I still think it’s a horrible idea to open up meaningful communication pathways with animals and I stand by that

You’re so right about that. 

Making it so that we can actually communicate with animals  could actually blur the line between species.

We’ll be shocked how overwhelming their needs could be tbh constant needs and emotional states, and it’ll just make co-existing with them more challenging 😭

No doubt that the humans who are bad to animals might change once they see the animals can express themselves

But I’m just saying, we as humans are able to manage our needs cus of how learned most of us are and we are used to a particular system/way(s) of lives

But once we start actually understand animals, their needs could be wayyy out of our scope and it’ll be so difficult to ignore cus we actually understand them and it can be overwhelming

Perhaps that's a good thing and humans might change?
