Live the same

I worry sometimes that if I ever have a partner again, we’d become something like that. 

They spent a good half an hour on their phones. Together but not present. 

What do you think? How do you picture aging with a partner?

tbh I don’t look at this as a bad thing, I think it’s the ultimate compliment to be able to sit with someone physically and just be around each other in silence comfortably

It's really important to have space alone, but together.  Vitally important.  If you constantly need their attention, you're either a child or co-dependent.
