How not to make mistakes when performing for thousands of people?

This was the topic of my lecture for young artists at Stellenbosch University, though it applies broadly to anyone who presents in front of an audience.

Stage fright, mental preparation, self-confidence, communication, memory, planning, emotional intelligence — these are essentials for performing, and they’re all controlled by our brain. But who controls the brain? Each of us possesses the most complex mechanism known to humanity. It’s like we all have our own Ferrari. But the real question is:

— Do you know how to drive it?
