Aleksei Andriunin, the founder of Gotbit, has reached a plea agreement with U.S. authorities, agreeing to forfeit $23 million in cryptocurrency assets in exchange for a settlement on market manipulation charges. Andriunin originally faced up to 20 years in prison on charges including wire fraud and conspiracy to manipulate markets. The founder of Gotbit was extradited to the United States in late February.

ZKsync announced the cancellation of the second season of its incentive program, Ignite. ZKsync explained that given the current bearish market conditions, it has decided to adopt a more conservative approach to spending in the short and medium term. All remaining rewards will be distributed as planned by Monday, March 17, 2025. After that, no new incentives or rewards are planned.

😎 Bitcoin's total amount of holders (non-empty wallets) has exceeded 54.71M, which is within 0.018% of the all-time high (~54.72M) established on January 19, 2025. This is partially due to $BTC network growth, and larger wallets splitting into smaller ones. But this does indicate continued expansion of crypto's top network, despite the nearly 8 weeks of extreme price volatility since Bitcoin's $109K price all-time high.
