Genuine question for Web3 game studios, enthusiasts, etc...

Why not use the relevant ecosystem coin in your game instead of launching a token?

We're all concerned about projects needing to sell their own tokens to fund game dev + other ops costs...but if you just use $ETH $SOL $AVAX or whatever...you don't need to mess with that?

I feel like this would allow for more focus on different integrations of web3 tools for gamers like the ability to earn that L1/L2 coin/token or to reward players with NFT options for their accomplishments.

Do I have any web3 gaming friends?

& any feedback on tokens being a time suck on projects (not to mention the $ hemorrhaging) when teams could be putting that effort somewhere better served-- thoughts?

@sinfulmeatstick I know youre in the Decentraland space, do you have any thoughts on if projects should be focusing so hard on the tokens and going with a "relevant ecosystem coin" instead?
