what if we had an onchain media recommendation platform?

i’ve been getting more and more annoyed with sites like Goodreads and Letterboxd for two reasons:

1) five-star ratings as a whole feel pointless and encourage snarky reviews
2) the people with the top reviews have tastes that might be totally different from mine

what i want is a platform where people share books and movies, and if the recommendations resonate with others, they get rewarded

I would use this, and I would enjoy answering some buzzfeed/cosmo style questionnaires to figure out my potential reader matches! 

I haven't read a book review from someone I didnt know irl since I read the Kite Runner and tossed it aside and never picked it back up after I was accosted without an f'n trigger warning.
