First figs of the year for me ✅

I also learned today that every fig basically contains a small wasp that died inside it - it pollinates a fruit from the inside and dies there not being able to get out, also laying eggs there, with the remains absorbed by the fruit 🙈

Woah, I am not sure I ever saw a fig in this form before— I am just so fascinated and I have opened 3+ tabs to go and read some more about figs and wasps, omg I can’t decide if that is badass or super gross! lol
