AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) is AI that can think and learn like humans. Right now, we’re still pretty far from reaching that level.

For AGI to really happen, AI would need to:
	•	Apply knowledge across different tasks
	•	Make decisions and understand complex ideas
	•	Adapt to new situations on the fly
	•	Have general knowledge and logical thinking
	•	Possibly even interact with the world—like through robotics
	•	And most importantly, stay safe and aligned with human values

The next big step is developing new learning methods—especially ones that combine intelligence and reasoning—so AI can learn more efficiently and flexibly.

We’re making progress, but true AGI is still a big leap from where we are today.
