These are such excellent questions for the slowcore-minded. Each of these, in and of itself, would make a great Slowcore Question (or quote) of the Day. I'm thinking about potential ways we might resurface these and other similar questions periodically in the channel, so they don't just get buried and forgotten...

I love this thinking. One different way to also think about it: do both. Scale at different levels. Weekly blog posts and six month ones. Eg, I write a weekly newsletter and writing a novel (for a year now).
