No idea what that is called but I think that Eddie Vedder gets close in Jeremy. Maybe Chris Cornell in Black hole sun.  Not the same as KC, but he’s one of a kind anyway.

This is crazy! this is what a friend and I were discussing the other day - it sorta sounds like built in reverb. It's verbratto almost? black hole sun is a good example.

It seems to me that the whole "Bleach" album is recorded in such an aesthetic.I could be wrong.
