Assume you’re visiting Tokyo for two days. Where are you going for lunch, dinner, and drinks? (The less touristy/popular the better)

I would use Tabelog (Japanese yelp) and try to find restaurants for the cuisine you want that has rating >3.8 Japanese known to be notoriously hard reviewers so anything above >3.5 = good >3.8 = pretty good >4 = amazing >4.2 = god tier

Only confident on coffee, I’d do here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gjTsRViWUoqZF9Yh8?g_st=ic Uniquely Japanese and modern. It’s on the east side so less touristy. Need to book a res online. If you’re into Sauna, I’d try to fit this in between activities: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gmJSHnyZvKg3FipB6?g_st=ic

The less touristy/popular the more japanese you need talk. - Ramen (from vending machines, the ticket not the ramen) - Okonomiyaki - Nigiri with hot sake - Kaiten sushika - Yokocho alleys. For drinks. - New York Bar at the Park Hyatt

Dinner / late night izakaya, nondoko 209. I thought it was pretty good, but also depends on what you’re looking for.

This list has one for each (plus coffee). Only the sushi place is popular, but it's not touristy (mostly locals getting "good" quality at low price). If I had to pick one, I'd say the bar (they'll kick you out if you're too loud) https://maps.app.goo.gl/8NFCcwpH9rZffeoN9?g_st=i

I used to frequent the alley south of Kitasenju station. You have to know a bit of Japanese tho.

When I'm in Japan and want to stay away from popular touristy food, I try to get in those small restaurant where local office employees go to eat simple rice bowls with some meat/fish and egg, such as donburi🍚, also soba restaurants (google maps will give a lot of results)

Ippudo and Ichiran are two of my favorite places for ramen. They have multiple locations in Tokyo. I definitely recommend Ichiran for the dining experience.
