We all know music has a value problem—both for creators and consumers. But I don’t see why we can’t use our creative skills to turn music into a piece of art, to elevate it beyond the digital noise. The abundance of music right now makes it hard for musicians to stand out, but that’s all the more reason to think differently and create something that captures people’s attention in new ways. If all we ever do is share Spotify links, then we’re missing the chance to build a more meaningful relationship with our audience. And let’s be honest, a career solely dependent on streams is unsustainable. Derailing. Since years a recurrent theme in my dreams is derailing of trains. Not in a bad or catastrophic way but just that trains would leave the rails and continue on the streets for a moment or permanently. It’s become such a common thing that often it triggers lucid dreaming as I realize I am in a dream when it happens. Just last week I was in a spectacular dream about Armenia, giant mausoleums and derailed trains. Tonight for the first time in my life I saw an actual derailed tram. 🇨🇳🤝🇮🇹 On November 9, the Conference for Dialogue between Chinese and Italian University Rectors convened at #PekingUniversity, fostering educational and cultural collaboration. The event brought together representatives of China's Ministry of Education, Italy's Ministry of University and Research, the Italian Embassy in China, and delegates from nearly 50 universities across both countries. At the event, key agreements were signed between 11 Chinese and Italian institutions on research, student exchange, and innovation.
