haven't casted in a while (well, a week). still convinced this place is the best alternative to twitter. going to make a proper effort to get into some good conversations here.

there’s been a lot of discussion in the wake of apple vision’s launch about whether AR / VR devices will ever find product-market fit. as entertainment and general productivity devices, they look like always being pretty niche, but there’s a huge opportunity around training and learning in complex, high risk environments. the way jayden daniels of the washington commanders is using vr to improve his game is very cool, and something we’re going to see a lot more of. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5848480/2024/10/18/jayden-daniels-virtual-reality-simulator-commanders/

gtd has been huge for me. I was the kind of kid who’d turn up for school with no pen and had no idea where my next class was meant to be. I struggled massively with staying organized when I started work until I discovered David Allen. the main challenge now is making sure I’m not falling down a system optimization rabbit hole and spending all my time playing with my tools and setup.

truthful answer is I don’t really try to. my wife’s great at keeping me organized about the stuff I don’t want to do, though. the rest of the time I just lean into what I like and see where it takes me.
