I’m confused by the drama around chinese factories revealing the “real cost” of LV bags on TikTok… do we think anyone buying LV bags was doing so because they thought they were made from $5000 of raw materials?

Of course, it’s an unpleasant juxtaposition when it’s in your face, but luxury bags are just a status symbol and the price tag is part of it. I don’t think this knowledge changes buying behavior.

You might be surprised, Chinese manufacturing leaked alternative sites to buy bags, and with this economy even the wealthy penny pinch So I would be surprised if your the young wealth utilize it, no one is g checking them

Yes, it’s old as fuck, just LV using plastic instead of leather is very “scammy” Also some prod cost and sourcing issues but to me it’s the model that don’t work Hermès does it better
