Our proposal to fund Season 4 of /thenounsquare + the /yellow collective is now live and open for voting at https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/619. 

We greatly appreciate everyone who has left positive feedback on the candidate, or votes of support in /nouncil. (Anyone can leave an onchain comment on our proposal at the link above, whether you own a Noun to or not.)

This chart tells a lot of the story. So far this year we have garnered over 51,000 mints on our onchain content, from over 38,000 unique wallets and representing over $91,000 in minting revenue between TNS and /yellow. Thank you to everyone who has minted our drops!

All year long, we have been running art contests, co-organized by TNS and /yellow, using Uplink dot wtf and @rounds, and distributing more than $50,000 worth of $DEGEN, $HIGHER, @imagineinfra, ETH and USDC, and resulting in thousands of amazing entries across a variety of nounish themes.

It has been a priority for us to find novel revenue sources and alternative grants from outside of nouns towards a goal of becoming self-reliant. Last season, we had raised ~$20,000 and set a goal to raise $45,000 this time. 

We ended up multiplying that goal by 7x and raising a total of $313,000 USDC worth of the inside funding, allowing us to stretch a 6 month term into 10 months of Nounish impact.

We believe that our work at /thenounsquare and /yellow has helped to directly onboard some awesome people to nouns, like @yes2crypto.eth,  @carlosjmelgar and @humpty.eth, who have bought nouns totaling more than 50 ETH. Our own team is also thoroughly noun-pilled and has spent nearly 40 ETH on nouns of our own this year. If you add to the above the number of people who purchased nouns that we helped to curate on our daily Noun O’ Clock Live show, the auction impact could be measured as high as 230 ETH. Numbers aside, direct feedback from people like @carlosjmelgar, who were noun-pilled by TNS and are now Nounish forces of their own accord, are powerful impact statements:

The /yellow collective has grown organically into one of the most vibrant and interesting nounish communities on @base, and we were even recognized by @jessepollak and the Base team for our work helping our ecosystems collide and supporting and empowering artists onchain.

It has been awesome to be able to collaborate with amazing artists and creatives in our space on Yellow drops, like @coryvanlew, @yonfrula, @awkquarian.eth and more, and either pique their curiosity about nouns or pull them deeper down the Nounish rabbit hole.

We recently celebrated the one year anniversary of ZEROPOD.XYZ, with 29 CC0 video podcast episodes about Enjoying Ethereum, featuring incredible and extremely interesting guests from both inside and outside of nouns like @seneca, @noun40, @will, @mikedemarais.eth, @jacob, @supriyo.eth, @binji.eth, @ccarella.eth, @dwr.eth and more.

Feedback from both guests and listeners/viewers of ZEROPOD has been overwhelmingly positive.

In addition to ZEROPOD, @jackwyldes has been killing it with educational medium-and-long form video content both directly for the nouns community (like our popular Nouns Roundup videos) and for nouns adjacent communities as well (like our short film “Welcome to Onchain Summer” that has been minted over 12,000 times.

We recently hosted our 800th episode of The Noun O’ Clock Live Show on /tavern (previously on X), without ever missing a single day, and this show has been the cornerstone of our consistent efforts to remains a daily cultural touchstone for the nouns community, as well as an approachable way for newcomers to learn about all things Nounish. ⌐◨-◨

We are asking for 89 ETH in funding from the DAO to continue all of the above initiatives, with a focus on growing The Yellow Collective into the most preeminent onchain culture club on base & continuing to compound the success and impact of ZEROPOD and our video content, while also remaining a consistent cultural touch-point within nouns. This is for a 6 month term, but our goal as a team is to continue innovating on outside funding sources such as mint revenue, merchandise sales, content sponsor partnerships and outside grants, and thereby stretch season 4 to 12 months of Nounish impact. ⌐◨-◨

TNS was my first touch point with the nouns community back in 2022, really demystified the DAO for me and helped me figure out where i could fit in
