I am longing for the time when web3 will stop being the meaningless gold rush. Fort sure digital permanence is a huge thing by itself no?

Cant figure this out - minting a custom erc721 contract with an svg onchain, using thirdweb results into the same image being displayed for all nfts on thirdweb dashboard. However opensea displays it correctly... Where do i look for the problem?

So.. i dont know if its the place to post it but here goes: - I mint an SVG onchain, which is base64 encoded - Additionally you need to base64 encode it second time, with all the metadata - OpenSea views it just fine - Back at my app, if I want to view the SVG in its initial form, I need : - Get the tokenId from the owner - Get the tokenURI by tokenId - Remove the metadata - Decode it once - Remove some junk - Decode it twice - Then i get the SVG. Somehow this seems excessive. How does opensea just get the image?

👋 Building my first nft minting project. Considering base as my chain. Where would you suggest I reach out for my "early adopters"? (besides here)

Starting a very humble onchain nft project, minting happens on my webapp. Minting on main eth will probably be too expensive but if I go for base or polygon for the chain I am afraid people wont have funds there. Thoughts?

2024 - How important is for the nft you are about to mint, to be completely onchain vs on IPFS?

Managed to deploy my first custom contract (that works on a testnet) for a onchain NFT with SVG data. A couple of things I learned (and need to solve): - Gas costs are around 0.01eth. Either need to find a way to reduce it move to an L2 - mintTo and _safeMint are very different... hwmans.com

Just realizing how much expensive gas costs when you try to mint an svg onchain. Does anyone know of ways to minimize gas costs?

Minting my own first custom-made smart contract (even on a testnet), was ... a moment! 🫠 🥲 https://testnets.opensea.io/assets/sepolia/0x1d2b712f56adb156460b1a57bb37b0ad4edb6f85/0

Trying to work with SVG Smil animations and Nextjs - but its chaotic. No control whatsoever... Will try with Framer Motion. A shame.

There are so many more options going about onboarding your first paid customers with web3 tactics, that founders should look into those. Fe. - memberships using nft tokens that expire after an amount of time - gated features using premium nft tokens - integrating web3 marketing platforms that target based on wallets

Was talking yesterday with another founder about pricing models for an mvp. I am of the opinion that the subscription model is basically dead, just because of the nuisance we all face of tracking down and removing idle monthly subscriptions from our credit cards.

This looks so amazing, as a brand and as a product. They seem to know what they are doing. https://www.arcade.software/ Thought: would be awesome if products like this had a way for people to easily invest in them.
