It's easy to forget how vast and open our country can be until you're driving through miles of rolling prairie and endless skies. Stopping in small towns along the way was a highlight—each one with its own story and charm. The people were warm and welcoming, happy to share tales of their local history and culture. It got me thinking about how much there is to learn from these lesser-known places. If you ever get the chance, take a detour off the main roads and explore. There's so much more out there than what we see in the big cities.
