As a two time receiver of funds in R1 and R2 of RAPGF, I wanted to say that IMO it is a feature! E.g. anecdotally Gitcoin Grants mimics the power law distribution of people having attention on social media.

E.g. a project like Gitcoin has done arguably a lot of "good." But they also have quasi-unlimited funding through their token, so I'd actually argue that they should have gotten less than me (I received 10k) because they already monetized into a "club good," their token.

I agree with tjayrush. The "spreading out" is an important signal that demonstrates the necessary diversity such an ecosystem has and that it leads to "power law winners" such as e.g. Gitcoin and L2Beat. For me, Gitcoin Grants has never worked and to make it work, I'd have to do a crazy amount of marketing, which would reduce my focus on creating technology.

And what's the purpose of rewarding projects that are anyways recognized and successful? Isn't promoting the long-tail alpha much more meaningful?
