Fractal Bitcoin is a new Bitcoin scaling solution, released in September 2024, designed to enhance the scalability and functionality of the Bitcoin network. Developed by Unisat and Block Space Force, the project leverages Bitcoin Core code to improve performance through recursive layering and integration of OP_CAT opcodes. This approach has increased block confirmation speeds to less than 30 seconds and increased capacity by 20 times per layer.

Unlike second-layer solutions based on Ethereum, Fractal Bitcoin relies on Bitcoin's native infrastructure. At the same time, it supports protocols such as BRC-20, Runes, and Ordinals, promoting the development of tokenized assets on the Bitcoin network. A prominent feature of the project is "Cadence Mining", which allows miners to mine Bitcoin and Fractal Bitcoin at the same time, improving miners' efficiency and benefits.
