I sometimes wonder how much VCs realize that very useful AI combined with blockchain-strengthened democratic and financial applications is just literally going to be socialism. The idea that the individuals have full democratic power and that efficiencies benefit the worker and we all work less is straight Marxism.

A lot of folks, Elon Musk and Sam Altman amongst, suggest that when this all happens, we need universal basic income to prevent catastrophe. This could be understood as market socialism. I'm not the biggest fan of UBI because we might all be given $1000 but then capitalists could just raise the cost of homes, food...

...mean that all the free food made by robot farmers and delivered by AI driven trucks etc etc would just be free. And that is a far more intelligible version of the future that all a small stipend for us to pay up to Musk, Altman, and that guy from Ready Player One
