The complete bad faith takes coming out now are hilarious. Trump is not a martyr and he's not an anomaly. These folks literally stormed the capital and tried to hang the vice president. They tried to kidnap and presumably kill Gretchen Whitmer. And they tried to kill Pelosi, injuring her husband with a hammer. And that's just internal, below is a great reminder that political violence is the name of the game for the US.

Who are "these folks"? If those acts of attempted violence you cite are correct, those are very specific acts by very specific groups or individuals and you should attribute them correctly. It's similar as when those on "the right" thinks everyone who even leans slightly to "the left" is basically a member of Antifa.

These folks was referring to those who believe in Trumps vision enough to fight for it. Some will do so without participating in riots, but the result will still be immense violence enacted upon citizens of the US and abroad, others will do so actively via groups like Patriot Front or by having participated in January 6th. That said, while I do think that anything that could be considered “right wing” is inherently a flawed ideology (guarantee to result in either theocracy, aristocracy, monarchy, or oligarchy), I am specifically referring to the US “right” which is more like an ethnonationalist, authoritarian center, with theocratic (Christian orthodoxy in unholy alignment with Mormonism and Catholicism) justifications for their abuses of power against minority groups.

It’s funny to me that people talk about the left in the US. Like there are a lot of individuals on the left but there is no representation of that group in politics. Ilhan Omar is probably the most left, with AOC and Bernie a bit right of her. And then there’s basically no one who wouldn’t be in a “Liberal” or “New Conservative” kind of party in any other country. As for the whole left being Antifa, this is the thing that bugs me the most about the American right. Antifa is just a shorthand for abroad network of anti fascist action groups, which are the most important groups in history, that helped defeat nazis and fascists in Italy, Japan, Argentina and more. Everyone should be Antifascist. Right, left, center, etc. But in the US political world, almost no one is.

Trump's vision? You must mean people who believe in what they think is Trump's vision because Trump doesn't have some grand vision of anything other than "how can I make myself more popular and richer".
