new on hypersub.xyz: hypermod starting friday, channels will require membership to cast or reply when enabled, if someone mints time on your hypersub they’ll receive an automatic dc inviting them to become a channel member hypersub-farcaster memberships are: - onchain - free, pay-what-you-want, or priced - accept payments w/ crypto or credit card - automatically add/remove members based on subscription status if you've been thinking about creating a hypersub for your channel, now is a good time to get started :)

i mean — it seems like that’s what they want us to do, buuuuut how can you make people pay to post in cars or nature or broad themed groups that sort of belong to everyone?! kinda messed up

memberships can be free or pay-what-you-want the point of minting a subscription is to open up membership access while simultaneously reducing bot activity

I feel bad for people who will moderate in those large ~free~ channels is all Seems like they are in for a lot of front end legwork to keep their channels alive

yeah. i think channels that have a public invite link so that anyone can join and cast will be completely overcome with spam

especially, now that most of them will be memberships. but i was just asking the question...if lets say you have 155 people in a channel, but only 45 people hold your fan token...that means you are cutting more than half the channel of good people bc they dont hold that fan token? doesnt that seem quite excessive? i get that you will send a frame to everyone letting them know the new rules, but when it wasnt that easy to grow the channel to begin with...

couldn't you just airdrop the fan token? the equivalent for hypersub would be to issue a grant (airdrop an nft with time on it)
