The vibes / technocracy axis is overly skewed toward the former. Capturing attention and being able to build cohesive brands is so valuable that it confers a disproportionate power vs boring down-to-earth proficiency like controlling water is the only thing needed to rule the mad max citadel, nothing else matters

very interesting, replit was my guess as to who may be building something like that. But I was thinking about something more accessible to the general public and product-led (vs replit bounties which looks service-led)

An idea I’ve been thinking about: A platform to request software. Whether a simple script, a simple web app or a browser extension. Users can submit and upvote interesting ideas. If a developer builds it, all upvoters get notified by email. Devs can set their price/conditions.
