9yo started reading Lord of The Rings... and my mind is blown 🤯 He started on its own! We didn't even push him... we just said: "You can't watch the movie yet because your brother is too young" and in our next trip at B&N, he asked for the book and he's now devouring it 🤓

I myself always prefer to read a book first and then watch its movie. Because my mind tries to picture the scenery of the story and then compare woth the movie. I think that he will thank you for such a suggestion and thank himself for reading the book first.
