2/ What are Guardian Sigils?

Every NFT is a dynamic, animated, and interactive piece of generative art, with all traits and artwork code created entirely onchain. No external dependencies – just pure, decentralized magic. And they look amazing!

3/ How does it work?

Guardian Sigils are tied to $PLEDGE. The art only renders if the account holding the NFT is an active Guardian (>1M pledged tokens)

Not a Guardian? You’ll only see the placeholder (below) – no sigil.

Become a Guardian, and the sigil is revealed! 🤝

4/ Each Sigil is unique:
• Each token has different traits and rarities
• But your personal sigil remains constant across all tokens your wallet holds

When transferred, each NFT dynamically updates to reflect their Guardian’s identity, making every piece uniquely theirs.

5/ How to summon a Sigil?

Summoning costs 5k $PLEDGE:

• 2.5k $PLEDGE goes to the artist
• The remaining 2.5k $PLEDGE is locked inside the NFT, powering its magic

6/ Feeling bold?

Use the SACRIFICE function to destroy your Sigil NFT and reclaim its locked $PLEDGE.

7/ Meet the artist

Guardian Sigils were created by Matto (@monkmatto), a $PLEDGE Guardian and onchain artist whose art is influenced by his Buddhist background. 

His previous projects include Ensō on @artblocks (pictured below) and Time Between the Lines is Thread Through the Mind on Plottables

8/ Art that is more than meets the eye

The $PLEDGE itself is a social experiment which some have labeled "art-like" 

The Guardian Sigils push this idea further by leveraging the $PLEDGE smart contract as an on-chain primitive, unlocking a novel artistic and social blockchain experience!
