After my UN job, after seeing so much shit, I was extremely fed up with society and the world as we know it, so I decided to go to an Ashram, and live there for 10 days. It was hard at first, no weed, no phones, not a whole lot of speaking. Meditation from sun up, to sun dawn, in my little meditation cell, and then in groups. I think of those 10 days a lot. It taught me a lot of things, mostly about not being able to control the outer, but the inner. I really want to go back and do a Vipassana again, feeling similar emotions coming back to me, but I'm not sure if I can do another 10 days without my phone or internet because of this place/ you guys. Thank you for reading this far, my love, reverence, and appreciation for you goes down a lot.

This is pretty awesome man, I've been deliberating doing a retreat of a similar kind at some point, just to get myself back to centre. I've been getting alot of hints to pull myself towards Hinduism over the past few years (I've got too much warrior brain for Buddhism)

maybe you should look up Taoism hahah - The Buddhist Warriors... hahah oh man it was crazy on day 6 or 7 I had a full blown acid trip with fractals and what not

Ah noice, I'll have a look into them aswell, maybe that's what has been calling me, cos I recognise the Buddhist crossovers with Hinduism and just haven't delved in enough. Was it an actual acid trip or was it the result of deep, deep meditation? I've had the fractals thing behind my eyes (it's what inspired the Core Device series as there's always gold and architectural elements to the visuals) and that was after maybe 2 a hour meditation, the visuals then totally pulled me out of it 🤣

I think so too my dude. I think the acid trip was a result of the deep deep meditation. I'm sure I hadn't taken any substances. I love your meditation story about the Core Devices series my dude. Now I know why or how they pulled me in so much haha

Some substance left on a random piece of clothing mayhaps? 😜 Jk, deep meditation is trippy AF so I'm not surprised after a full on week or more of that state would put you in the other place. Honestly I was so worried that I would never be able to pull those images out of my mind into reality that I started obsessing over sacred geometry and 3D modelling for a long time, just to be able to pull them together. I'm currently making a short film that captures the development of each core device alongside their metaphorical meaning. So glad you recognised them 😉
