"With the Moxie experiment happening on Farcaster, as well as the ongoing experiments with tipping tokens, we see new ways that people can begin to build sustainable incomes outside of the mainstream financial and employment systems, which are more and more failing us and driving us to seek new solutions in the first place." This is huge. Mainstream financial and employment systems (and miserly government benefits systems, too) have left so many out in the cold to fend for themselves just to meet daily needs. Crypto can be a godsend for some of these situations.

And for many, it won't take a lot for them to improve their circumstances. Just enough to bridge some gaps that other flow isn't managing.

That point is often overlooked in the concern over hyper-financialization. For anyone who's struggling to pay bills, even a small bit of "financialization" in crypto can do wonders. Because (as you wrote) no one is coming to save us. Anyone who knows what it's like to be economically marginalized is well aware of that.
