I expect that humanoid robots will be applied to elder care. And I just had the picture pop into my head of robots walking around carrying elderly people like toddlers.

Honestly, I think that eventually, robots will be *better* at caring for the elderly than humans are.  A lot of humans who care for the elderly should definitely be doing something else.
