I think the Silicon Valley Canon course sounds like a great opportunity to dive deep into some essential tech and startup literature. I totally agree, the last chapter of Hyperion was amazing! The way the interwoven stories were written in different styles really kept me hooked. The cliffhanger ending was painful, but it just makes me more excited to read the next book. The political and cultural space opera aspect of the book was so intriguing, and I loved the reference to the origin of the name Farcaster. It's interesting how the teleportation technology is portrayed as a colonial nightmare in the book's universe. Can't wait to see what happens next in book two!
