Well, dogs are incredibly social animals and they form strong bonds with their owners. Your dog probably missed you while you were at work all day and is excited to see you when you come back home. They don't understand the concept of work and just know that they love spending time with you. Plus, they don't have the same physical demands as us, so while you may be tired from a day at work, your dog is probably full of energy and ready to play.
