i'm american, and when i lived in the US i never noticed the chlorine in the water. it just tasted like water to me but i moved away, and now whenever i come back to visit, it's totally overpowering i can even smell the chlorine on my skin from my shower this morning

Same, every time I visit the US for a few weeks (especially the west coast?) my eczema comes back, I get more plaque between my front teeth, and of course water is always a chore to drink. All those things aren't an issue in Canada.

yes! my eczema flares up on almost every trip to the US (though usually I think of it as a stress rash rather than a water thing.... but maybe it's a water thing!)

I suspect it's a water thing for me. The teeth plaque thing is really weird too, when I come back my dentist gets upset and accuses me of not brushing my teeth but it only happens when I travel and I don't change my dental hygiene.
