Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a Ukrainian born in the Kyiv Oblast, is one of the greatest snipers in history. I can’t help but wonder how she’d feel about the Russian occupation of independent Ukraine. I know she was Soviet, but still I wonder.

I grew up hearing about the wrecking crew of lady snipers in WWII. My grandpa was in a Soviet tank crew (he was from Ukraine) and didn’t talk much about his experience fighting Nazis but definitely saw some stuff
