One of the biggest Russian propaganda campaigns against Ukraine is that the country is full of Nazis. I always take time to dispel that myth. Full interview: https://youtu.be/2XSj74qsvyc?si=lGLwHozhngO4wv2j

Indeed, the 'de-nazification' lie can be hard for a lot of westerners to understand But we were never the target audience for that particular brand of disinformation. Calling on historical memories of fighting the actual Nazis in WW2 (the Great Patriotic War, which has been deeply ingrained into the national psyche) makes it easier for Putin and his regime to sell domestic audiences on the war, giving a moral license for extreme violence. Much easier for Russians to rally around that than Putin's real goals, which would be patently indefensible even for the highly apathetic domestic audiences. And it's far easier for Russians to accept that lie than the truth: that Russia is hell bent on a genocidal campaign of eradicating Ukraine as a nation and people.

some units in ukraine like in azov and kraken have used and use nazi symbology but they also use other dark symbols that are brutal ant atavistic, it's war - people living in blood and gore all day long for weeks or months at a time are going to start fashioning implements that evoke carnage and horror on them, I think that's natural.

this brought to me the same sensation that people shared from Iran back in 2017 when i was travelling the world and meeting backpackers often those that hadn’t been there talked about from a place of fear of its circumstances and those that had been there talked from a place of gratitude for its people and their immense openness and generosity

Most "Nazi" people I ever encountered were in USA. Here in Europe, we don't even talk about race. I didn't even know what race I am until I went to USA and had to mark down Caucasian, I didn't know it's called like that. Before never once even anyone asked me about race nor did I ever mark it anywhere. I didn't know my race, I thought it's just human race.

Maybe it’s not propaganda, but a pattern of behavior backed by historical facts. Ukraine did welcome and worship Hitler as a savior—which didn’t end well for the people, since he saw them as subhuman. Perhaps history is repeating itself, and once again they’ve chosen a side that doesn’t necessarily benefit the majority of the population.

Ah yeah, so the 42 antimaidan humans back in Odessa May 2, 2014 were killed by unicorn ponies throwing rainbow molotovs at them. I'm talking about the Trade Unions House arson. Made under racist chants. Or maybe Russia passed the laws to ban Ukrainian language on its territory and not the opposite? Or it's Russians who cut off water supply to their citizens on Donbas and Crimea in 2014? Of course it's easier to see Nazi salutes by just watching twitter feed than it is to witness real life in Ukraine, because the majority of the Ukrainian and Russian people NEVER had any problems engaging with each other. Until Maidan happened (which was btw funded and backed by USA) that sparked formation of lots of military battalions in Ukraine who's only goal was (and is) to kill as many Russians as possible. What is this if not Fascism?
