A lot of companies “act” open. Signal is an open protocol, but the servers are private. Whatsapp is closed. iMessage is closed. Telegram is closed. No more back doors. Everything is open with XMTP. The future must be open if we want to ensure privacy and security. Let's build.

I think another good point for you is being decentralized. None of the above are decentralized, meaning that if the company or foundation disappears, everything is gone.
