It actually does, only if you give it enough context about the table and column relationships. It'll be more accurate if you give an example output of the relevant tables.

I need to test it. Specifically for really complex queries with nested data and gis. Have you asked it to improve the performance of a table so it suggests indexes?

Index, no. Re complex queries: if you have lots and lots of tables, it's kinda challenging to know what sort of context you need to dump to GPT before making the prompt. For smaller databases, it's still OK because you can dump the entire table's metadata to GPT. But a million tables...
