How many people here use only open source software, My desktop is Linux, and that has some tradeoffs because you don't have everything working out of the box. I agree that it needs to be open source, but that will not be enough.

Let me explain: tensor flow is open source but in order to use it properly you need a cluster of very expensive GPUs. Only big corps can run those clusters so while it is open source only big corps could run it and test it. Anyone can read the code but not everyone can run the code, which is unfortunate.
