I LOVE CHICK FIL A new financials just dropped. median revenue per chick location in ‘22 was $8.5M. they’re closed 52 days of the year, so that’s about $27k/day. they only fund new stores with profits (~zero debt on the balance sheet), open 100+ stores annually, and have a franchisee acceptance rate of 0.15%.

Their values make it impossible for me to love them.

The ones that they practice instead of preach. Unless they made some major changes in the last few years.

based on your links, it seems chick-fil-a doesn't donate to anti-LBGT groups anymore. organizations, just like people — as Megan Phelps-Roper shows us — can learn, grow, and evolve. they have embraced a Brian Armstrong-esque approach to politics, saying: "Chick-fil-A is about food, and that's it." i respect that.

From what I’ve found, they also haven’t said they support LGBTQ. They’ve said they have revamped their donation practices, but weren’t specific. Anyone can have the values they have…but until they say they respect all humans, I won’t have respect for them.

Regarding Brian Armstrong, my understanding is only from his interview on one podcast, but his situation seems very different. He wants to create a workplace that is focused on a single mission and not a place to use as a microphone for individuals’ initiatives. He doesn’t care what you do outside Coinbase
