two v important apple questions: 1. i should wait until the fall to get the new iphone, right? assume the hardware will be better to support apple intelligence 2. worth it to get the apple watch ultra? i'm active, will likely do a tri soon, starting to go out w/ just watch, no phone more often

Re 2, I've been thinking of upgrading to ultra even though I like my current apple watch fine and everyone I ask says "100% do it" cc @vm

If you're truly active, eventually you'll buy a garmin. I have not yet met a serious runner/triathlete that does not use a garmin.

I have been milking my broken apple watch from the second generation. They are worth it. Mine is so obsolete now it only tells time but I like it.

How thin is your wrist? Mine is quite thin, and the Ultra looks like a Ben 10 watch on me, so it's a no-go, unfortunately. I wish they made a normal-sized Ultra.

Iโ€™d wait until the new Apple Watches come out, theyโ€™re supposed to finally have new form factors, and of course on device AI features

- phone depends on what you need the phone for. If you are aiming to use for the AI they announced, itโ€™ll be exclusive to the new ones. - watch: yes. Ultra is great. I have the first gen and still lasts up to 3 days with workouts, nearly 5 days without workouts. So newer one should be much better.

I broke down and got a new 15 pro but my 12 was no longer charging so was kind of a mute point.

1. just bought 15 pro. macrumors buying guide didn't make me feel too bad about it. 2. got the ultra a few years ago purely for the 3d battery life and its worth it for that alone.

The 15 pro max is on another level from normal iphones but not sure you would use the features. I can plug ssd drives in to use as camera roll storage and the lenses and action mode are absolutely amazing even at 5x zoom while skiing with my dog it was not shaky at all.
