tweeted this bc a) too long to post here, b) much of SV doesn't seem to grasp that low-effort, AI-generated replies can come from verified humans as much as they come from automated bots. blessing and curse that crypto social has to deal with this first. https://x.com/tednotlasso/status/1922106036724584465

I think it’s quite simple, deep down if you look closely you’ll almost always know what is AI generated and can identify it with little evidences that gpt usually uses e.g over analysis of the same thing over and over, or the use of unnecessary dashes. IMO that’s why every social platform gives a user choice, your ability to use your choice and scale of preference will either make or marr your feed. If more of us do this ultimately we will reduce how much AI hijacks attention.

Ofc sometimes hard to differentiate but if you let users decide what they want to see there’s no difference if bad content is from good/bad users > Introduce filters: can opt-in to general filter list or add your own filters (blacklist words, words, media type, etc.) > diff frontends, channels, friends, apps, etc. go that way already >>> maximally personally configurable, and customized social media experience 🤩

It’s not just VC it’s literally your consumer if you want to go mainstream beyond someone who has a deep understanding of your product and if you can’t get a product to be understood then there is a gap

I read that some of the most $$$ effective spam on X was real people in cyber cafes in SE Asia. Farming the rewards in groups that would all reply and repost each others content in a massive circlejerk That was gaming the algo over there even if they never escaped their own circles Incentives matter!!!

That’s why AI agents need to have verifiability using Eigen Layer, like @yourreplyguy does. Every action (cast created) by reply guy is verifiable on the blockchain. https://x.com/0xpratik/status/1921955416105521379?s=46
