do you guys realize how wildly lucky most of us are to be “knowledge workers”? it grants us the benefit of working remotely, not worrying about slowing down physically, engaging with innovation, and accessing better earning potential and flexibility to pursue our own interests. please don’t take it for granted.

I agree with this sentiment, especially earning potential. Yet I'll offer another perspective. Those who choose to work with their bodies benefit from the daily work. There is a whole generation of farmers I know who have maintained health into old age due to their daily physical labor. Blessings for both paths.

Crazy i was literally thinking the same thing… This morning in my hotel there were like 10 blue collar workers with their boots and neon vests, and I was this close 👌🏼to telling them “thank you for what you do”, even though I have no idea what they do, LOL. Whatever it is, it’s way harder than what I do

I'm a developer, and it's not lost on me that being a dev between 2010 & 2030 is a golden piece of luck. Today, many more people study it in school, and soon AI will replace a lot of devs, but in that period SWEs were gods that made the machines do magic for crazy margins. grateful!

Constantly think about this and also just how lucky I am to be born during this time, would have been a much different life several decades or hundreds of years ago especially for women

100% grateful every day for my job and the opportunities I have had so far. This is what pushes me so much in wanting to help others in my spare time, it's the feeling of passing it forward

this is even more apparent in countries like Argentina (where I'm from) and many others, where the local economy is bad and people can access the "global workforce". I'm super grateful not only for myself being a knowledge worker but also for employing my whole team in Argentina too :)

I was just watching a homeless guy and thinking that if I didn't have the support network (friends/family) that I do, I would be one crisis away from ending up like that. 😐
